MEET DR. PAIGE MOORHEAD

MEET DR. PAIGE MOORHEAD

Dr. Moorhead’s professional background has been largely cultivated by her 4-year stint with the University of Washington.

After graduating from dental school in 2017 from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and practicing for one year as a general dentist in both Mt. Juliet and Nashville, TN, Dr. Paige found her way to Seattle in June of 2018. It was then that she began her 1-year oral surgery internship with the University of Washington Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). After the completion of her internship in June 2019, she remained on board with the OMFS department for an additional three years as an attending / clinical instructor for the General Practice Residency (GPR) and an associate provider in the Graduate Oral Surgery clinic located at Northwest Center for Oral and Facial Surgery.

Her time working with the University of Washington was spent honing specialty skills in the removal of impacted third molars (‘wisdom teeth’), pre-prosthetic surgery, full-mouth extractions, simple biopsies, moderate sedation techniques, and management of medically complex patients. Having spent years in an oral surgery environment, she is versed in patient care involving orofacial trauma and infections, as well as tailoring dental treatments for individuals who have a history of, or are currently battling, cancer with radiation and/or chemotherapy, extensive cardiac health challenges, respiratory challenges, kidney and liver disease, and dental anxiety. The years with UW OMFS were spent largely in a hospital-based environment, managing both inpatient and outpatient scenarios; she is excited to bring these experiences with her to a private practice setting. Harnessing her oral surgery skill set and interests, she focuses a vast majority of her continuing education time on training in dental implantology – a service she is now offering to your Auburn practice.

After living in Seattle from June 2018 – March 2022, Paige is thrilled to now be established in Tacoma – an environment reminiscent of her roots in Lebanon, TN. She is looking forward to becoming a partner in your family’s healthcare, as she carries on providing general dentistry with the personable service the practice has provided you for decades.

FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

Aside from her time spent next to you in the dental office, you may see Dr. Moorhead lifting weights and timing her high-intensity interval training at 24Hr Fitness, enjoying one of her favorite combos – wine & charcuterie – at a wine bar, examining the nutrition information and ingredient list on product labels during a grocery shopping trip, asking a barista about the flavor notes in their pour over coffee of the day, or studying textbooks, journals, or continuing education material revolving around dentistry and medicine at a local coffee shop.

Alongside her on these ventures, you will likely see her accompanied by her wife, Lauren. They both share a deep adoration for all things related to exploring new cuisines, wine, coffee, specialty cheeses, travel, art, nutrition, fitness, and their Southern roots (Lauren is from Texas!). Lauren’s profession carries her sky high, as she is currently a pilot in training at Hillsboro Aero Academy in Redmond, OR. It won’t be long before she’s flying the ‘big birds’ of our skies.

Together, they can’t wait to explore more of the world together; they highly recommend Spain – their first international trip together taken in May 2022 as a duo birthday celebration (their birthdays are only 3 days apart)! Ask Paige and she’ll tell you how much she credits Lauren for being her steadfast source of strength, stability, love, and support. After nearly 4 years of living in various neighborhoods of Seattle, Paige has been thrilled since moving to the peacefulness of Tacoma, WA in March 2022, where she and Lauren share a home.

RANDI

RANDI

Treatment Coordinator

I began my career in the dental field as a senior in college working toward my bachelor’s in Applied
Science through interning at multiple different offices. I have worked with pediatric dentistry, as a
sterilization tech, a hygiene assistant, and now I have found myself settled in as treatment coordinator. I knew dental was my field of career after the many years of braces and dental surgeries I had personally gone through in my teen years. I understand walking into a dental office is not everyone’s cup of tea.  This is why I love being the first point of contact for each patient, so that I can reassure them they are in the best hands and to be a voice to talk to when in need. It will always be my goal to make sure our patients have the most positive experience as they walk in and out of that door.

Family is most important to me, as they are some of my best friends.  Outside of work, I spend most of my time with friends and my significant other, along with all of our dogs. After being a competitive gymnast for 16 years, as well as earning my certification in personal training and sports nutrition, I love to ensure that I am keeping an active and healthy lifestyle while continuing to travel the world and eating all the great foods it has to offer.

KANDY

KANDY

Dental Assistant

Being a dental assistant is in my blood. Growing up, my mom and aunt were both dental assistants. I realized at an early age that following in their footsteps was my destiny.

I was born in Seattle but spent most of my childhood in Louisiana. My parents were military so I also spent some time overseas in Sasebo, Japan. After returning to the States, I attended Franklin High School where I graduated my junior year. I then attended Eton Technical Institute where I received my Dental Assisting certificate in 1998, graduating on the Dean’s List with perfect attendance.

I have three beautiful children and a tiny little chihuahua that loves to cuddle. I enjoy cooking, dining out and spending time with my partner. I look forward to meeting you and making you feel as comfortable as possible while here in the office.

KARLEY

KARLEY

Care Center Lead

At the start of my career in dentistry in 2008, becoming a dental assistant was my initial goal. As I continued my education at Green River College, I found that I enjoyed a broader scope of patient care, team leadership, and healthcare management in the dental practice. This realization had me shift my focus to front office management, and I completed my bachelor’s degree in Applied Business Management. From dental treatment planning to coordinating patients’ insurance benefits, my goal is to experience personalized care for each patient.

Providing high quality care is ultimately why I chose dentistry, because I enjoy connecting with people and assisting patients achieve healthy smiles.

Outside of work, I reside in the Lake Tapps area with my supportive partner and lovely daughter. I enjoy working out, listening to live music, watching sporting events, discovering coffee shops, and learning about personal growth.

NICOLE

NICOLE

Dental Hygienist

I began my dentistry career as a sterilization technician in 2013 shortly after graduating high school. I quickly discovered my passion for dentistry and knew I wanted to become a dental hygienist. I attended Lake Washington Institute of Technology, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. While I am aware the dentist office is not everyone’s favorite place to be, I feel strongly about giving all patients the best care and making it the most positive experience possible.

I consider my family my favorite people and spend most of my time outside of dentistry with them. On the weekends, my husband, two dogs and I are most likely in Bothell hanging out with family and friends. We enjoy anything that keeps us off the couch: boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, wine tasting, brewery hopping, etc.

I look forward to my future working with Dr. Moorhead, continuing to build relationships with patients and providing optimal care for healthier lives.

A fact about our coffee bar

It has sustainability in mind. Dr. Moorhead strives to reduce waste as much as possible – being a huge advocate for recycling and sustainable practices. Here, we provide ceramic mugs that we happily wash as they are used. One cup for you is one less cup for the environment.
